Review and approve changes
Inspect single proposals, grouped changes and plans, then check their recorded outcomes.
Review changes in the Assistant or actions requiring approval in personal and agent chats.
Before you begin
You need owner or dashboard editor access to approve dashboard changes. Viewers have a read-only Assistant. Other chats follow their tool approval policies.
Review one proposal
- Open the action card to inspect its preview.
- Check the target, connection, values and intended operation.
- Select Approve to proceed or Deny to decline.
- Check the recorded result before assuming the change succeeded.
For Workspace text writes, Preview shows the complete file; Changes compares it with the pre-approval version. Copy/move previews identify destinations. Email previews show recipients, subject, body and attachments.
Where supported, you can edit a tool proposal or choose Always approve. This changes future approval behavior for that tool.
Review changes together
Ordinary changes from one Assistant step form a group: select proposals, confirm once, then check each result.
- 01Inspect the prepared proposals
- 02Select changes; keep unchecked deletions
- 03Confirm the selected count once
- 04Wait for execution, then read each receipt
Do not repeat successful actions
Your unchecked items stay unchanged
Read current state; propose only what remains
- Open the grouped review.
- Inspect each proposal.
- Uncheck changes you want to skip or deletions you want to keep.
- Select Apply N changes or Delete N items, using the count shown.
- Read the final receipt for every item, including partial failures.
Cancel declines the unconfirmed group when available. Already-confirmed decisions remain read-only and still run. Counts cover prepared proposals only.
Watch out — Confirmation is not execution. A group can still be waiting for other decisions or waiting to start. Check each result.
For failures, choose Review incomplete actions. The Assistant checks current state and proposes only necessary changes, without repeating successes or replaying deletions.
Approve a plan
Plans combine ordered tool steps. Read-only plans run automatically; others request one decision covering the whole plan.
- Open Plan in N steps.
- Check each step's connection, target, read/write operation and proposed values.
- Inspect dependencies and the maximum number of repetitions.
- Select Approve plan to run the plan, or Deny to run nothing.
Plans cannot be edited or set to Always approve. Agent and workflow launches keep their own approval controls, separate from grouped ordinary changes.
Older proposals remain viewable in history but cannot be approved there.
