Apps

Build internal applications that your team, agents and workflows use together.

A shared place to work

An app provides a shared interface and database for deals, tasks, leave requests or stock. Authorized agents use its operations to read and update the same records.

Choose an app when a job needs its own interface and data. Use an agent for a specialist, a workflow for defined steps, or Tools to connect software you already use.

Who uses an app

Members open published apps from My apps in web chat or Open app in the dashboard. Agents and your personal Assistant use app tools; workflows use app steps; external AI clients use your Botchi MCP connection.

All four paths reach the same records under each caller’s access rules. App interfaces run through Botchi on the web, including web chat, with workspace sign-in. Mobile interfaces, public hosting and standalone sign-in are unavailable.

One app database for every surface

A member’s agent request needs permission from both the member and the agent.

Members, agents, workflow steps and MCP clients reach the same app records through their own access rules.

Drafts and published versions

Owners and dashboard editors create drafts with source, builder chat and test-data preview. Publishing shares a version with authorized members and agents and starts the app subscription.

Later changes stay in preview until publication. Preview records stay separate: only the first publication offers to copy test data into the published app.

Apps are available in every business workspace. Owners and dashboard editors create and manage them; members use the apps their business roles grant.

Find your way around

AreaUse it for
OverviewSaved visual preview, the plan with its three usage meters (operations, storage with documents, indexes and files, transfer), construction costs. The preview is a snapshot, not live records.
App accessBusiness-role and agent permissions; workspace connections.
HistoryRelease progress, failed releases and compatible rollbacks.
SettingsDetails, icon, export, pause and deletion controls.
Open builderBuilder chat, live preview, design and source history.
Open appThe published app and its live records.

The storage reading covers the whole app project, preview data included, and updates several times a day after publication. Opening Overview starts no build or live preview.

The workspace receives email notices for expiring drafts, trash and permanent deletion, unpaid renewals, suspension and reactivation, usage warnings, autoscale charges, read-only mode and failed releases.

Watch out — App records do not use Botchi's per-account encryption. Keep credentials and confidential company documents in their dedicated Botchi sections. App source retains Workspace encryption.
