# Built-in capabilities

> Look up native agent capabilities, the default Web tools and their limits.

Native capabilities require no attachment in Connections. **Web** is different: new agents receive it by default, and you can detach it. Availability still depends on platform configuration and account permissions.

## Capability reference

| Capability | What you can ask for | Limits and safeguards |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Workspace | Read, search, write, copy, move and edit files | Own Home plus granted access; system files remain protected. No arbitrary shell commands or recursive folder deletion. |
| Video understanding | Summaries, speech, on-screen text and events with timestamps | Authorized Workspace video, public YouTube video or direct HTTPS video; stored/direct files at most 12 MiB per call. No login-protected sources, ordinary web pages, playlists or live streams. |
| Documents | PDF reports, slide decks, web pages and editable graphics | Source and exports stay in the account Workspace. Print graphics export PDF and PNG; screen graphics export PNG frames. |
| Image generation | Standalone images or artwork for documents | Generated files stay in account Workspace; generation consumes Sparks. Visual presets can constrain output. |
| Web | Web/news search, page reads with optional screenshots, structured extraction and checks in existing automations | Default attached group; batch reads accept up to 12 pages. Public pages only, JavaScript pages included; no login, CAPTCHA or paywall bypass. |
| Code Executor | Inline or saved Node.js/Python programs | Uses the agent's file access; ordinary runs have internet access and can install dependencies. Evals disable internet. |
| workspacePrepareFile | Transfer readable file content into a connected MCP or custom HTTP tool | Mandatory outbound approval shows filename, type and size. File bytes stay hidden from the model. |

## Video limits and cost

| Setting or behavior | Effect |
| --- | --- |
| Time range | Focuses analysis; does not reduce the downloaded file size |
| High resolution | Helps with small text; increases inference cost |
| Static sampling | Up to 24 frames per second; higher sampling increases cost |
| Another question | Reprocesses and bills the video again; combine related questions |
| Sampling | Can miss brief events; verify timestamps when precision matters |

Account agents use business Workspace files, rather than members' personal Files. You can attach videos in web or mobile chat; dashboard attachments are stored in Workspace. Inference uses the run's normal account pool.

## Code Executor limits

| Resource | Limit per call |
| --- | --- |
| Program duration | 30 seconds by default; maximum 120 seconds |
| Dependencies | 25 |
| Explicit input-file entries | 10 |
| Files expanded from folders | Up to 500; larger folders require subsequent chunks |
| Combined input size | 100 MiB |
| Output files | 10; 25 MiB each; 100 MiB combined |

## External file delivery

| Representation | Supported destination |
| --- | --- |
| Base64, data URL or text | Compatible MCP or custom HTTP argument |
| Raw bytes | Entire custom HTTP request body only |
| Local filesystem path or multipart orchestration | Outside workspacePrepareFile's supported flow |

Botchi substitutes approved file content immediately before the outbound call. Preparing a file does not bypass the destination tool's grant, binding or authorization.
